For applications that require a particle-free, compact clean room environment, the 40” Wide Portable Clean Room Hood may be an optimal solution. This positive-pressure benchtop hood utilizes a vertical laminar flow pattern and provides an ISO Class 3 clean room enclosure. A dual-stage filtration system comprised of a pre-filter and main filter supplies purified air into the hood to protect the process. The main filter is typically either a HEPA or ULPA filter depending on the efficiency desired. The HEPA filter is up to 99.97% efficient on particles 0.3 microns and larger, while the ULPA filter is up to 99.9995% efficient on particles 0.12 microns and larger.
This unit has been used for a variety of applications that require a sterile environment, including stem cell therapy practices and other medical applications, sterile compounding, tissue culturing, data recovery, clean room applications, manufacturing, sterile cleaning processes, and much more.
This unit is equipped with a Variable Speed Controller for air volume management and a fluorescent light for interior illumination. A UV light is also available for sterilization purposes.
