Product Spotlight: Snorkel Sentry

Some tasks require a fume extraction arm that has above-average stability, an arm that doesn’t drift from its optimal position if its chassis is unintentionally bumped.

Precision hand-soldering is that kind of task.

Operators apply flux and make joints of exacting dimensions.

If an extraction arm shifts its position even slightly, fumes can distract the operator and increase the likelihood of rework.

Worse, hot solder and flux can cause accidents and create an undesirable work environment for employees. A bump on the table shouldn’t have such harsh consequences.

Our Snorkel Sentry has all the right attributes for demanding processes that involve hazardous and/or expensive components.

Light weight, adjustable height, stable arm

Our Snorkel Sentry weighs approximately 10 pounds.

Its adjustable height has a one-foot range in increments of one inch.

The mounting bracket is easily secured to tables and workbenches for extra stability.

The Snorkel Sentry’s no-tool mounting bracket of non-mar materials provides the additional stability needed for many applications.

Many procedures produce fumes and particles

Typical applications for this unit include soldering, light grinding, handling pharmaceutical powders, and chemical, solvent and epoxy fume extraction.

Filtration options

This unit can be customized with filtration media that addresses your specific application.

For example, HEPA filters are up to 99.97% efficient on particles 0.3 microns and larger; ASHRAE filters are up to 95% efficient on particles 0.5 microns and larger; and ULPA filters are up to 99.9995% efficient on particles 0.12 microns and larger.

The Snorkel Sentry can also be configured with filters of Activated Carbon as well as specialty-blended filters for Acid Gas, Mercury, Aldehyde, and Ammonia.
