In the Dominican Republic, the Dominican Foundation for Mothers and Infants<\/i> has installed three 40\u201d IV Hoods or Portable Clean Rooms<\/b> in the NICU of three different hospitals to improve their IV bag and medication preparation process. The Dominican Foundation for Mothers and Infants<\/i> is a non-profit organization that strives to decrease neonatal mortality in the Dominican Republic. <\/p>\n

Since implementing these safety protocols, the Dominican Foundation for Mothers and Infants<\/i> has reported that infant mortality has decreased by over 35% in the NICU<\/b>. The Dominican Foundation for Mothers and Infants<\/i> and the Dominican Republic government are very pleased with their success and have requested two more IV Hoods\/Portable Clean Room Hoods to be installed in two additional hospitals. <\/p>\n
