Eligibility

The following eligibility requirements must be met in order to be considered for the scholarship:

• Must be a citizen or legal resident of the United States of America or have a valid student visa.
• Must be registered as a student at an accredited high school, college, or university within the United States ONLY.
• Must have:
  • High School (Junior & Senior)- at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
  • College (Freshman)- at least a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Applying for the 2022 Annual Scholarship award requires three things:

1. Air Quality Importance Story - Using any format or tools (video, infographics, words, photos, modeling, original art, and imagery) tell us what air quality means to you. Creativity counts!
2. About Me Essay - Eligible candidates must also submit a 500-1000 word essay to help us get to know a little more about you and why you'd be a good candidate for this scholarship. In addition, answer just one (1) of the following questions:
   • What should we do to increase awareness about environmental pollution?
   • What can cities, states, or the nation do to improve air quality?
   • Who do you think is more responsible for pollution, individual people or the government? Explain.
   • How can poor air quality affect one's way of life?
3. Release Form – Fill out the attached form with your information and release permission to Sentry Air Systems to share your entry and personal picture. Make sure to include:
   • Current official (or unofficial) school transcript
   • Current Photo

When you apply, please include the following information in your email, along with the submission requirements:

• Legal first and last name
• Mailing address
• Phone number
• Email address
• Name of school/college/university and proposed year of college graduation
• The course of study/declared major
• Current official (or unofficial) school transcript
• Current Photo

Terms and Conditions

Scholarship recipients are required to submit a current photo and a publicity release granting Sentry Air Systems permission to use their photo online at sentryair.com and in other marketing materials and communications. The winner will be contacted by phone or email. If we don't hear back from the winner in a specified time frame, we reserve the right to cancel the scholarship offer and award it to another applicant.
