The deadline to implement engineering safety measures for the control of Hexavelent Chromium is approaching with the May 31, 2010 deadline. Regadless of the size of your company you will need to have safety controls in place to reduce employee exposure to Hexavalent Chromium which is a known human carcinogen.

Sentry Air Systems is proud to annouce that the SS-300-WFE (Welding Fume Extractor) is a proven tool to help reduce employee exposure to Hexavalent Chromium. This system was stringently tested by a third party industrial hygenist and performed at a very high standard reducing the employee exposure at the breathing level by 97%. This data was collected by using sampling pumps that the operator wore. In addition, pumps were used at the inlet and outlet of the equipment which had a reduction of 99.9%. The duration of test was 4-hours long and no other engineering controls were utilized.
